Meet your Doula
I’m Lauren Keane, an INELDA-trained end-of-life doula and a member of the National End-of-Life Doula Association. My background in science, energy work, and hospice care allows me to provide emotional support, spiritual care and practical guidance to you and your loved ones. I work with seniors, those with a terminal illness and those who are grieving a loss via in-home support sessions.
My personal philosophy is that we should have as much say in our deaths as we do in our lives, and I am very aware how little control we have over either. My intention in this work is to give individuals at the end of their lives the chance to fully embrace living; talk about things that are important to them and live out any final hopes and dreams. I offer support for friends and family that are a part of this journey as well.
Working with individuals who are dying has given me a greater appreciation for life, and has encouraged me to expand my work to those who aren’t near the end of their lives, but want to change how they are living and set things up so that the end of life if how they want it to be.

A doula is a trained, non-medical professional who provides emotional, spiritual and practical support to individuals and their loved ones during significant health-related experiences.
End-of-life doulas specialize in working with those who are thinking about their own end-of-life and want to plan for it, as well as those that are grieving the loss of someone. -
Services that I provide are:
Advanced care planning
Legacy projects
Processing regrets, unfinished business, guilt and shame
Vigil support
Grief guidance and bereavement support
Light housework
Home organization and decluttering
Respite care
Restorative yoga
Meditation
Reiki
Palliative massage
Doulas are not a medical professional or legal professional, and do not replace these roles, but rather work in addition to them, to give the individual as much support as possible.

The benefit of using an end-of-life doula is to receive support and guidance during difficult times. You receive non-judgemental compassion and instead of navigating difficult situations alone, you can walk along a guided path.

I believe that anyone can benefit from the support of an end-of-life doula, no matter what life stage they are in.
The clients I most commonly work with are:
seniors and their caregivers
those with a terminal illness
individuals and families who are grieving a loss
Anyone who is going to die can use an end-of-life doula to start processing their own mortality and make their end of life plans. Anyone who has experienced grief can use a doula for support.
Let’s do this together.
